Is There a Mouse in Your House?Apparently 1 out of every 3 homes in the U.S. has a significant amount of mouse allergen in its inside environment, particularly in house dust. Even worse, this mouse allergen appears to increase the risk for asthma in those same homes – by a whopping 50%!
This news was announced in a conference at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology, as seen in the following video: Asthma symptoms occur in direct response to exposure to asthma allergens in people who have allergic asthma (which is most people with asthma). Cockroaches and other insects shed allergens that can be quite unhealthy for people who have asthma. Now, it seems, mice do the same. The solution? Well, no surprise, it's not to buy a cat, the most potent animal allergen. The no-brainer solution is to get rid of the mice in your house. Need some help with that? Read on...
