A study released in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the scientific journal of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI)shows that allergy shots decrease costs of children with allergic rhinitis or hayfever by a third and prescription medication costs by 16%.

She went on to say the "findings are even more impressive, considering the results were based on 'real world' healthcare delivery, rather than on treatment provided within a tightly controlled clinical trial."
