A study released in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the scientific journal of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI)shows that allergy shots decrease costs of children with allergic rhinitis or hayfever by a third and prescription medication costs by 16%.

Why is this important for asthma patients? Have you ever wondered if your runny nose, sneezing and itchy-watery eyes were related to your asthma? It turns out that your hay fever or seasonal allergic rhinitis is not only a significant risk factor for the development of asthma, but asthma and hay fever often exist together. As much as 80% of asthmatics have some form of allergic rhinitis or hay fever. Many of these asthma patients may benefit from allergy shots.

In a press release Cheryl Hankin, Ph.D., president and chief scientific officer of BioMedEcon, and lead author of the study said "this large-scale, comparative effectiveness study of health outcomes clearly demonstrates the benefits of allergen immunotherapy for children with allergic rhinitis." She went on to say the "findings are even more impressive, considering the results were based on 'real world' healthcare delivery, rather than on treatment provided within a tightly controlled clinical trial."

The OUCH ! Elephant in the ROOM.

The BEST Therapy for any Disease is marginalized… if not rendered ineffective …if the Child Patient and busy Mom’s Taxi is Non-Compliant.

Lets face it > Traditional ImmunoTherapy = OUCH !

> Skin Test = OUCH !

> Allergy SHOTs = OUCH !

> Frequent Dr. Office visits that translate to > Transit to Office > Waiting for SHOT ..then the SHOT ….then a 20 minute Wait = Time / Schedule OUCH !

If only….

We had a way to determine What we are Allergic to by a simple 5 minute Blood Draw…

And a way to…
Self Administer our ImmunoTherapy Vaccine witout OUCH… Anywhere we wanted ?? …

Now that would REALLY be something to Talk About.
