Getting Set Up for Inhaling with Your MDI

Once you have everything ready, it's time to actually take your dose of inhaled medicine.

Remove the cap and hold the canister upright. Shake the MDI for 5 seconds. Tilt your head back slightly, exhale (breathe out) slowly, as much as you can, and put the mouthpiece into your mouth.
