How to Use a Metered Dose Inhaler With a Spacer

Once you have everything ready, it's time to actually take your dose of inhaled medicine. Hold the MDI upright in front of your mouth, as pictured above. But before you clamp your lips around the mouthpiece, exhale completely with the inhaler in place.
