If you are using a quick-relief inhaler, wait for about a minute between puffs. For controller medicines, there is no need to wait between puffs.

Often, a prescription for a metered dose inhaler is for 2 puffs of medicine per dose, or per time that you use it. If that is the case with your prescription, then you'll need to repeat steps 1 through 6 for the second puff.
