Question: Are There Different Types of Asthma?
Answer: Yes! While all types of asthma may cause you to experience:
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest tightness
There are actually several different types of asthma.

The types of asthma include:

  • Allergic Asthma
  • Exercise induced asthma
  • Cough variant asthma
  • Occupational asthma
  • Nocturnal or nighttime asthma

While the symptoms may be the same, the treatments may vary so it is important to ask your healthcare provider which type of asthma you have.
