Air Purifier
- One of the best things I have bought is an air purifier. I am often doing good at home, then suffer when I have to leave home. The high pollen counts this year have been very bothersome. My other triggers are tobacco smoke, even what remains on a person's clothes afterwards (third-hand smoke?), perfumes, colognes, latex, molds, and fresh cut grass.

Exercise induced asthma
- 2 puffs of albuterol about 10 minutes before I work out will usually keep the wheezing and coughing under control unless I am exercising in the cold. I really try to avoid becoming over exerted in the cold because I am then trying to control 2 triggers-the cold air and the exercise.

Cigerette Smoke
- I can't stand it when people smoke around me. It clogs my lungs, nose and makes me cough excessively. Even if you don't smoke yourself, being around the smoke is not good for a person with asthma.

baked dust mite droppings
- Tumble dried, actually. It's worth trying putting your pillow in the tumble dryer - Death Valley for dust mites - see if night symptoms improve. Be careful not to let it get too hot - don't want to risk a fire. The person who told me about this found her allergic rhinitis was regularly improved for a few weeks, each time she treated her pillow.
