As many of you may have seen from my bio, I am a principal investigator or a team leader responsible for clinical trials. Clinical trials can be great for patients by giving them increased access to a provider or, more importantly, access to some of the newest treatments available. Like anything in life there are potential risks. We often do not know all of the side effects that are possible. In many trials there may also be the possibility that you are receiving a placebo or non treatment.
A former patient sent me this link that lists clinical trials by geographic area. It may be worth checking out to see what is available. Clinical trials are not for everybody. They require both time and effort, but I think are overall beneficial.

Have you ever participated in a clinical trial? Why not go to the forum and tell us about it.
