Question: Will My Child Grow Out of Their Asthma?
Answer: For reasons that are not totally clear, up to half of children with asthma will experience significant declines or total elimination of their asthma symptoms as they get older. It is nearly impossible to determine which kids will outgrow their asthma or have significant reduction in symptoms. However, symptoms can come back at any time so it is more appropriate to think of it as a 'period of remission.'
