The day-to-day hassles of any chronic illness like asthma can make anyone feel overwhelmed. Each of us develop different strategies that may provide asthma support and help coping with asthma. Some people get their families involved, while others seek out the latest knowledge and research related to asthma. Others may benefit from hearing about your strategies. How do you cope with having asthma?

Coping w/Asthma

Stay active. I've made exercise a part of my daily routine. When an asthma 'event' doesn't permit it, I try to stay as active as possible. Exercise seems to have helped the bottom of my asthma cycles from hitting the marianas trench.

I cope with my asthma...

by first keeping calm, keep moving daily so as to not gain weight, which makes breathing more difficult, eating nine 1/2 cup servings of fruits and vegetables daily and of course take my meds and follow my action plan:)

Asthma Coping

Exercise helps me cope with asthma and everything else in life. In order to do this I need to follow my asthma action plan and monitor my asthma closely. Luckily, when I follow my action plan and take my controller medication, I can do nearly any sort of exercise that I want.
